Users of Android mobile devices can now use a new app from Homefacts to research information about properties and neighborhoods ranging from details about local schools and building permit activity to the locations of registered sex offenders and environmental hazards like former drug labs.

Homefacts, which released an iPhone app in July, compiles property and neighborhood information and statistics on more than 100 million homes in the United States.

“Over 50 percent of the traffic to Homefacts comes through a mobile device,” said Jamie Moyle, CEO of Homefacts parent company, RealtyTrac, in a statement. The company’s mobile apps enable homebuyers to do “view detailed property and neighborhood data from wherever they are, helping them make more informed real estate decisions.”
